Van 19 tot 21 oktober is weer in het centrum van Haarlem het jaarlijkse Haarlem Salsa Dance Festival. Dit wordt georganiseerd door Salsa danssschool SalsaMotion. Op dit festival zijn verschillende topdansers van over de hele wereld aanwezig om salsa workshops te geven.
Verder zijn er internationale top DJs om de salsa muziek te verzorgen waarop tot laat in de nacht gedanst kan worden.

19 oktober: Openingparty Holland Salsa Congress

De feestelijke opening van dit Salsa event vindt plaats in de wachtkamer 2 + 3 van het NS Station Haarlem, met een sensationeel live optreden van de formatie Marco Toro Ensamble die wordt gevormd door top artiesten uit de salsa scene in Nederland.
DJ's Sizzla (UK) en Andres - Salsamotion vervolmaken deze nacht vanachter de draaitafels.

Holland Salsa Congress - Haarlem Salsa Festival

In 2012 is het Haarlem Salsa Congres wederom een 3 daags evenement vol plezier en entertainment waar salsa dansers vanuit de hele wereld elkaar kunnen ontmoeten, leren, dansen en inspiratie kunnen opdoen.

Het congress heeft 33 workshops op 4 verschillende niveau's en spetterende salsa party's met shows. Ook nu hebben we weer bekende leraren uitgenodigd vanuit de hele wereld, o.a uit de Verenigde Staten, Canada, Spanje, Italië, Frankrijk, Engeland en natuurlijk ook uit Nederland. Zij gaan de deelnemers aan dit eerste en oudste Salsa festival van Europa verrassen met hun laatste nieuwe salsa moves.

20 & 21 oktober: De workshops

De workshops worden gehouden in de Philharmonie. Dit prachtige theater is gelegen in het centrum van de stad Haarlem, direct naast de middeleeuwse kerk, de St. Bavo. Alle workshops zijn engels gesproken. Daarnaast is dit festival een non-smoking event.

Naast deze workshoplocatie liggen diverse goede hotels en het restaurant Koetjes & Kalfjes, sponsor van het Haarlem Salsa Festival.

Haarlem Salsa Festival - Holland Salsa Congress

The 14th Holland Salsa Congress includes 3 nights of dancing and spectacular shows. Dancers from all over the World's share their passion of Latin Dance with you. Come and enjoy the workshops, the shows with their exciting choreographies.

We have invited some of the most inspiring Latin Dancers from all over the world, including: African Jet, Vassili, Moe Flex, Shelley Cook, Gil Prado Mendez, Manuel Mascarell, Sabrina Bravi, Charlotte Rubia, Brian & Mechteld, Mambomike, Paul "Gallito" Baarn and many more.


The Parties
Each night of the Congress there will be a party with International Latin DJs and  dancers.  The parties represent a great opportunity to dance and make friends with people from all over the world. Some of the best dancers in the world will be ready and willing to give you a spin on the dance floor, not to mention our local talent. Sunday there will be a afterparty 'till 05.00 AM !

The Workshops
There will be over 33 workshops over 2 days (Sat/Sun) taught by some of the best Latin Dance Instructors in the world. You can learn Salsa,  Latin Jazz, Mambo, Afro Cuban, Cha Cha, and many more.  Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, you will find a workshop to suit your level of expertise.

The workshops will be at the Philharmonie, a beautiful theater in the city centre of Haarlem, next to the medieval cathedral St. Bavo.  All workshops are english spoken.
Right next to the workshop location are several Hotels and the restaurant Koetjes &Kalfjes, sponsor of the Haarlem Salsa Festival (Holland Salsa Congress).
